Depending on how well the coil is wrapped will also change the factor of the inductance, so a neatly wrapped coil should have higher inductance with the same amount of wire. I wrapped this coil with a drill, so it's not a "neatly wrapped" coil... the wire coating or how it's wrapped could be effecting the inductance.
