My new series cell electrolyzer
This is my new electrolyzer design. It is more efficient, cheaper, smaller and easier to build than my previous one. It has 33 1mm thick stainless steel plates insulated apart of each other with a 3mm thick sheet of vinyl. You can easily build one of these at home - no special tools needed. The plates have cut out slots on one side so that I can wire the plates in whatever configuration I need. At this test the cells were configurated so that they formed six 5-cell compartments wired in parallel. I used distilled water and KOH as electrolyte. I have not measured the output of my previous cell, but for what I can tell from the bubble action, this design outputs more gas with two times less power. The only problem is that foam tends to build up and travel through the cells via the has output holes in the plates.
